We rescue cats and dogs. We are a holistic rescue so our animals are on raw food and can food only,no dry food. We use alternative medicine using holistic vets and conventional medicine when it is needed.We have taken care of sick, older and disabled rescues using alternative treatment with great success. We educate our adoptors and are happy to advise and guide them, if they wish to continue with holistic care.

Fetching Companions retriever rescue (FCRR) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, Southern California organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and rehoming homeless retrieving breeds. We specialize in Labrador Retrievers, but will take in other retrieving breeds from time to time, including Golden, Flatcoat, and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, as well as the occasional mixed breed Retriever. Our aim is to rescue dogs of exceptional temperament, regardless of breed, and to find the best possible homes for them.

The new 76,000 sq. ft. Harbor Animal Care Center, opened in June 2008, is the Harbor's newest safe haven for lost pets and those looking for new homes. Lush with planters and trees, the Harbor Animal Care Center features 79 dog kennels and 72 cat cages, specially designed community cat rooms, get acquainted yards for dogs and adopters to meet, special areas for rabbits and exotic animals, and a large grassy field for pet training. The new medical facilities and pet recovery and isolation areas will allow the Harbor medical staff to offer top quality care to pets during their stay. A spay/neuter clinic will open at the facility later in 2008.

To promote and educate the public of their responsibilities to help pet over population by spaying and neutering their animals. To work with local legislatures and authorities to promote programs that will better educate the public in the health and maintenance of their pets, and to improve animal welfare. To interface with other animal welfare organizations to insure that the animals rights are not violated. To offer our services to the local shelters and government agencies, to serve as educators in the community with respect to animal overpopulation, unwanted strays, licensing, owner responsibilities.

Whiskers & Tails Foundation was founded on February 1, 2005 by Lynne Amano, a vegetarian. Our primary mission is to rescue dogs, cats, to assist needy pet owners, to educate the general public on the humane treatment, and care of all animals. Our goal is to prevent animal cruelty, and make their lives better while with us. We continue to form relationships with local animal shelters, rescue groups, individuals, volunteers, city, county organizations and supporters. We also donate to other organizations to assist them with their mission objectives. One of our programs assists senior citizens with their companion animals by finding temporary pet housing, while the owner is hospitalized, in recovery, or permanent homes in cases of the owner's terminal illness, or death.
